The company was founded under the name of CGCOM in 1998.

The owner Catherine Galhaut launched an innovative product range of wine labels. In December 2004, the company was bought by Laurence Depond and became Torchons & Bouchons. 

Since then, several new products have been launched, with the aim of sharing the french heritage on kitchen linen. Most of the products are manufactured in an affiliated plant in the north of France. 

Today Torchons & Bouchons became a SDE Brand, a French company based in Strasbourg that is dedicated to home linen
